Consumption identities usually are :( - usually better to identify by what we make/do than what we consume.

I don't think most non-streamers/youtubers realize that it's not as simple as just "stream something else" or "make videos on another game" - especially for small/mid-size creators. It can be a "Rent/Food vs Ethics" conundrum.

I'm simultaneously disturbed and intrigued... both for the piece of pie and the state of that fork.

I get the same thing with youtube sometimes... everyone thinks a social media following means "money" - without really understanding how the systems work.
