One dilemma for modern manga or game artists is that sometimes western-ish settings have better appeal in japan and japanese-ish settings have better appeal in the west

What if i changed my game's setting from a random western city to a random japanese city?

However, the DPP and its leader Tamaki, whose name has been raised as a unified opposition candidate for PM, desptie always spouting grandiose rhetoric without hiding their ambition, suddenly hesitate when power actually seems within reach, literally whining that he isn't ready to become PM.
amaitorte.jp
The current opposition parties are all small and unfriendly toward each other, yet the chance to seize the PM's seat is driving them to explore strategies for unity.

This caused their regular coalition talks to stall, delaying the prime minister nomination vote in the National Diet by a week.
It is highly unlikely, but there remains a possibility that Takaichi can still fail to become PM despite being the leader of the largest party.

Okay, this week's japanese politics is a complete joke.
While LDP, the conservative party, elected Takaichi as its new leader, the Komeito party, a longtime coalition partner of LDP, raised concerns that shes "too right".

Oh, no no no, ofc I'm not upset. My apologies if my bad English made it sound that way. I was actually waiting for someone to ask me so I can explain further!

To avoid misunderstanding, Sakaki is also a common Japanese surname and ofc not every Sakaki person are a shintoist or a yakuza, please aware of that.
But a fictional crime boss AND his name is happens to be Sakaki, the shinto tree? Surely the creator didn't pick that name randomly.

Tbh i don't think that all yakuza organisations shares the same origin story, but I wouldn't surprise if some groups has that one.

This very leaves on the kamidana display in Like a Dragon series could be Giovanni...I mean Sakaki!
amaitorte.jp
Genuine sakaki leaves can sometimes be hard to come by, so other trees can be used as alternatives, but if you see leaves used in Shinto rituals and display, including kamidana, you can generally assume they are sakaki.

His name is changed to Giovanni in the English adaptation (gee, i wonder why they gave an Italian name!), but his original name was Sakaki.
Sakaki is a name of a tree that symbolizes the gate between the divine world and the human world in Shintoism, and it's used in various Shinto ceremonies.

There's a famous piece of JP pop culture that quite subtly points out the connectin between yakuza and Shintoism: Pokemon.
You all remember this guy, Giovanni, right?
