Teach that this book shows Iranian empathy and support of Jewish children. nOT Israel. They were compassionate about Jewish humanity. Not the colonial project that will kill and forced displacement of over 700,000 Palestinians. Don’t erase history.

If you read this book I hope you correct the history- and teach that Tehran’s children while in transit went to Palestine (1943) not Israel- there was no country yet. The nakkbah was in 1948. Teach that too. Be sure to share that language of the land- was Arabic. Hebrew was a colonial project.
