The Medusa one in particular is interesting—she was sculpted by a female sculptor in the late 1800s, Adele d’Affry, who operated under the male pseudonym Marcello🌻

Galatea is based on a sculpture of a female warrior in Stockholm, Sweden, and the surrounding sculptures are all statues I photographed at the V&A museum in London when I was there in May.

and the wheat and sunflower crowns are also considered Ukrainian national symbols, so the piece represents Ukrainian triumph as well
