It took an Instagram video of a chef getting home from work and microwaving her dinner for me to remember I hadn't eaten in 6 hours. Bean soup to the rescue. I mean, I wish I cooked myself gourmet meals every day. But sometimes it's just whatever's in the fridge?

One of my staff today as I introduced them to an Italian wine: "wait, I just realized, is this going to be affected by the tariffs?"
Me: "absolutely. Every product we carry, local or not- is about to get more expensive."
Them: "shit"

I have @booker.senate.gov on the speaker as I make dinner, and @maddow.msnbc.com's take is dead on.

Turn it on. This is what we need.
Senator Cory Booker -- nearly 23 hrs into this -- is more coherent than your average elected official speaking (while seated) at an average legislative hearing.

Even if you haven't been watching all along, dip in for a moment -- he is making considerable sense:

I had surgery to remove endometriosis tissue about a year ago. It was helpful in reducing my overall pain levels. Yet the disease continues on. Sometimes, like now, the flare up of inflammation and exhaustion knocks me flat, and I'm reminded there is no cure. 🧵

We worked for months with USAID to build an $85,000,000 project to end TB in two regions of the Philippines.

The project is funded by private money, the Philippine government, and matching USAID funds.

It could provide a blueprint for eliminating TB worldwide--except it's...not happening.

It's winter re-potting and prep for the growing season. AKA I need extra therapy, can't afford it so I channel the energy into random plants. I'll wear a mask for a bit, pull it off and forget to put it back on. So of course I'm sneezing out dirt right now.
