For real though, events like this are a lot of fun to organise and run, and I warmly recommend to anyone getting involved in similar community organising ❤️

Be the Cambridge you want to see in the world! You too can organise a chaotic and gay festive market

So unless an artist wants to make a donation toward the venue hire, all your pennies go directly into the pockets of the artists 🥰
TLC also runs regular (free!) accessible social events in Cambridge, check out @trans-lib-cam.bsky.social if you'd like some trans + queer community time 🏳️‍⚧️

Also just for clarity, this isn't a fundraiser for TLC. TLC has paid for the venue and set this up because it's good and lovely to host local artists. They've asked artists to chip in to the venue hire if they would like to, but it's not required! (and would be less than £10 each to cover it all)

For anyone in Cambridge this Friday, Trans Liberation Cambridge are running a maker's market for local queer artists to sell their lovely things!

It's a night market in a public library, being run by a local grassroots community group for trans folks. Nothing not to love about this! ❤️
Makers' Market!
6.30-9.15pm, Friday 12th December
Milton Road Community Library, Ascham Road, CB4 2BD

We're gathering 18 fabulous queer & trans makers under one roof! Find unusual, beautiful and strange gifts for your friends, lovers, and selves. Trinkets and treasures for all budgets.

This is definitely not going to be a fair review and it's already being publicised as weeding out people who are just lazy etc.

Funnnnn!

NHS services for autism and adhd are swamped - waiting list over a decade in some places, accepting no new patients in others. Private services have been called in to supply the gap, they are swamped too.

This obviously all ties in with an ongoing narrative about how disabled people are scroungers etc etc.So yeah, we have no reason to expect anything good from this review, especially given the folks whose names are already attached to it (associated with a guy who said chronic fatigue isn't real etc)

Wes took over as Health Sec when Labour got in and made the puberty blocker ban permanent. Rumblings about a similar report being commissioned for adult care.

He's talked a lot recently about how he thinks mental health conditions are over diagnosed, including neurodiversity.

Wes Streeting is our health secretary. The previous (tory) government commissioned the Cass Report, a review into healthcare for trans kids that was so outrageously biased it was disavowed by many medical institutions here. Puberty blocker rxns were placed on hold pending review.

I'm so sorry Bonnie. You've done so much for the little fella, I'm so sorry that it couldn't be enough 😞

I was thinking along the lines of 'diet need not necessarily mean "weight loss" it is just a descriptor of what you eat'. You turn up expecting weight loss when it's just some hobbits discussing the best ways to carb load

OK but I'm signing up for Merry and Pippin's diet club

My American next door neighbour was very confused by 'half two' as denoting a time of day, she's been practicing some Britishisms and she gets a lil high five when she offers the time of day like a local 😂

Why did you wait this long to wear it?
