I'm doing ling, lang and lung (the lung refers to voice training). Like a wind turbine, I'm a big metal fan. She/her, they/them.

Although I think I've found ways of moving beyond social masking to actually building genuine rapport with students and colleagues, which I also have to admit has been a lot of fun, even if it did come so late in life. Would have been a handy skill in my formative years I guess.

Oh I'm still terrible at social cues, which is why I still find it bizarre that I've ended up in - well I guess it's a career now (!?!) - which requires so much social interaction from me. I always pictured myself as someone who'd be happily locked away in a tiny room with books and NO OTHER PEOPLE.

One of SO MANY examples of ACTUAL EFFICIENCIES we've asked for that have been rejected; meanwhile there's a steady drizzle of "how are YOU using AI to streamline YOUR PRODUCTIVITY?"

have to do them ONE AT A TIME. The fact that I have a template doesn't speed this up - it's hours of work instead of 10 minutes.

(Yes I've asked, many times, before for access to bulk emailing; I've been told, many times, before that it's against the policy. We HAVE to use the CRM to keep track of

I don't what is real, but I know it definitely is not anything printed in The Australian.

Basically, I feel really privileged to be very comfortable with maths, but NEVER at any point in my life have I wished that I were MORE socially awkward.

The benefit I think of the all-gender toilets is many (most?) of them at my institution include supports and other accessibility features. I do, however, have a fleeting suspicion that this was less intentional and more likely that they just converted accessible toilets to "all-gender" :-/

I've been using, but an actual for realsies official all-gender toilet that pops up when people search for "all-gender toilets" would be great.

I'd considered that!

We have a single toilet in our building, ungendered, with the only sign on it saying "Private" and nobody knows why or who it's private FOR. I'm assuming it was from when my building was a teaching space and these offices were used for admin staff? I dunno. Anyway that's what
