Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula LeGuin

I wasn't smart enough for this book, but I still enjoyed it. Literary sci fi far ahead of its time & still highly relevant to gender discussion today. Unbelievable prosecraft - a true master

I seem to really be on a 1970's kick

My daydreams and writing are about gentle people discovering magic & being kind to each other in nature, while living in a difficult world.

My dream-dreams are always me being a spider queen or an undead paladin. I have no explanation for this

Where did you buy this? I am always trying to buy aconite and never finding a good source for it - either it's bare root, doesn't ship to US, or is actually a hybrid

"A meditation on grief" - I'm sold. I don't do horror movies, so we'll see how this goes...

Maybe a hot take, but modern designers do whatever they want on the red carpets all the time. The rare time that we get to see historical clothing is in high budget historical epics. I like accurate costumes.

Turning Heathcliff into a hottie is highly sus, but withholding judgment until I see it

Thank you.

This is kind of a weird comment, but this helps me understand what allyship feels like? It feels so good to be supported.

Makes me want to make sure I remain as vocal as possible for communities I'm in ally in

Tolkien by Humphrey Carpenter

This has been gathering dust on my shelf for a long time. I was finally inspired to read it after my LOTR theater binge last weekend.

Incredible read - rarely is a biography from the 1970's this compelling!

My rule is at least two sentences. Yesterday, I watched all 3 extended Lord of the Rings movies in the theater; just managed two sentences while grabbing a bite to eat between shows. Counts! ✨

She knows people's bodies are different, right? According to my fertility doctor I was at the menopausal age of 46 when I was 36. He knew because he was ordering full hormone tests regularly as part of egg retrieval...

Reading through your posts, I love that your word counts are lower like mine! I sometimes feel discouraged reading that people write thousands of words a day when a great day for me is 100-200. Writing is tough & I work full time.

Very proud of us for our steady progress ✨💪✍️
