The problem is and always will be that AI removes, replaces, and trashes human expression, craft, and labor. Rhetorically, I think this is the better angle to advocate against it than simply "Wow, this is bad" because we have danced this dance before.

There could be a day where, if things progress at their current rate, AI dubbing could "get the hands right" and be somewhat more listenable than this Banana Fish trash. Then proponents will be like "Well it sounds pretty good now, so what's the problem?"

Sure, absolutely it will, but my point was more so akin to... remember when people said AI was bad because it "couldn't get the hands right"? Well, now, the tech is more or less getting the hands right.
