He was from Wigan, my adopted home town, and this doesn't surprise me. For example our favourite ever sportsman is Sir Billy Boston, son of an immigrant who came here from South Cymru and became rugby league's first knight. Also, check out the memorial below (next to the town hall!).

Any such advice for custard? My own view is that you should be able to have it so thick a spoon could stand in it. Much like a trifle topping, but warm.
