Ok yeah the heated cat beds for my old lady were worth every penny

There's a bakery down the street that will hopefully not be sold out sometime I would be available to pick up. I am watching!

It's almost like medications are not once size fits all, and are adjusted on patient specific monitoring on a regular basis!

And also, just looking at the lab reference ranges isn't a good assessment of if something is appropriate or not!

Awwww babies! 😻 So glad they are all back together and inside!

Just another reminder that the rich literally don't understand what life is like for most people.

Rest days are so important!

I hope you a good day!

Requiem for a Dream
Grave of the Fireflies
Perfect Blue

I don't think I will ever watch the Kill Bill movies again, but that's mostly because my own threshold of acceptable violence in media has dropped substantially since those came out.

There are definitely more, but of course I can't remember.

Came here to comment on the excellent use of the word "glowering," perfect for that expression!

NYC is expensive though! Lol. I would have gone to San Francisco if that level of cost of living was in the cards.

I lived in the Rochester area for ~10 years 😁

It was on the list of possibilities for moving to this year, but we wanted somewhere more generally walkable.

Maybe, but I think it was more that it was unrelenting. Both in NY and MN once you are inside you're usually fine. In FL, home was cold despite having the heat on AND a space heater in the room I was in; stores, restaurants etc were cold even with heaters.

There was no respite.

I mean, I have leaned into the "not going outside" aspect of winter so far, but also I am handling it a lot better than my initial move from CA to Western NY. Probably mostly the NY experience.

I just walked down the street to get ice cream in 19 (feels like 9!) degrees and it wasn't bad at all.

I agree, but also I moved from NY to Florida in January, during a cold snap. It was zero/below zero in NY and then 20s/30s in Florida and Florida felt way colder even though I was used to/had just left NY winter.

So I think it is multifaceted.

It's so funny how the weather feels different in different places though! The not-so-cold "cold" weather in the 30s and 40s in Florida felt way worse, and I lived in Western NY before Florida and now I am in Minnesota. The buildings were built to keep the heat OUT, not in.

They knew you needed that cat energy tonight ❤️
December 10, 2025 at 2:15 AM
This is exactly what I was going to mention. There are lights signalling to pedestrians on the diagonal as well and everyone just walks where they need to get from where they are. They're great.
December 10, 2025 at 12:45 AM
Oh no, poor guy 😭 I hope everything is good and he is home soon.
December 10, 2025 at 12:36 AM
Also - I feel like it's less looking for generic Adderall right before close and more coming to ask for a flu shot while in the first spike of flu

There's a spot in my building that people leave stuff, it's very close to the office and I have never seen anything hang out for more than a few days. I am guessing if no one takes it after a couple days the office gets rid of whatever it is.

It's not official, stuff is there, and then it's not

I'm thankful I got in for mine literally days before the first snow.

I am sure they will be fine! They probably expect to be busy around now
