Understanding your pipeline to help develop a healthy scope and problem solve is a point of pride for a games concept artist.

That's a huge mark of a professional that understands what the hell they are doing. They understand their actions affect others.

I carry this attitude towards animation.

There are a lot of limits to game engines as well because memory does get expensive for seemingly small things. For the longest time translucency on a character was really hard to achieve without creating a huge memory ramp. So it's a material you generally don't concept with.

Ah I've noticed this too.

I'm a games concept artist first. Understanding how your work can impact the entire team is important as a professional. When phone games were a big booming industry understanding bone count limits was essential. So I could only design bugs with 4 moving limbs early days.

LET ME INTO YOUR BRAINNNN. Knowing pipeline process on a show like this is so important and we do not have enough people within the industry to really bridge that knowledge of what artists need and how to provide that guidance in a way that makes the goals hittable!

Sometimes I'd help out in other depts. My main job as AD I feel is just to keep everything moving. Since I've worked professionally in a lot of the pipeline. It's easy for me to hop in and help out where I can.

My favorite 5* are Texas, Ptilopsis, Blue Poison, Totter(especially if the IS run has a lot of invisible enemies), Beanstalk and Asbestos. They are so handy for early IS runs. Texas is my usual go to 5 star for every run though. Their DP generation speed + Stun is so good.

The Rhine Lab peeps are my favorite group, before it was because I really loved how NoriZC had such a specific flavor and look to them. But now it’s even deeper with the Lone Trail story arc being one of my favorites. I know the anime is following the main story but ahh story to see that animated…

It’s hard to love one solo character because I like how Arknights writes groups dynamics and factions overall. The recent comic series with Fang, Beagle and Kross was such a treat. I love the spin-off anime series Lee’s Detective Agency.

I like that they explore their stories with side content.

Murdock is still a cool design to me I just wished her alt skins were more chunky armor alts.

Thorns I use for every IS run and I love him just as a character too.

I ship Surtr and Entelechia and making and itabag around it rn.

Yes and it’s not the worst thing I’ve been asked. I normally bite my tongue and just auto-block.
