That’s really bad. I have called out a place or two for having vegan dishes that use cheese in them. They don’t seem to understand that vegetarian and vegan are not one and the same. But to use meat in a veg dish is a whole other level.

Have you ever looked into Pasadena Comic Con or Toon Con? They tend to have a decent turn out. Not horror specific but plenty of crossover, it might be worth a shot in the future. Those are my favorite local cons to shop.
