"Anticipatory obedience" is something I've been struggling with as an advocate of Arts Education equity and accessibility working at a nonprofit in DC. Our programs are an important opportunity for joy, growth and expression, but changing the language we use for funding feels like bowing down.
Let's hope their identities remain shielded from the public...for the safety of them and their families.
