She is a U.S. CITIZEN and was legally observing, not obstructing!

FYI: They do NOT have the authority to enter a home or place of employment with an Administrative Warrant. What they did was ILLEGAL.

A 𝐌𝐨𝐦 𝐂𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐋𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐎𝐍 on the difference between Administrative and Judicial Warrants will go live today!

If you’ve ever heard “that’s what the 2nd Amendment is for” and felt confused, FOLLOW for Mom Civics clarity…and share this so fewer people confuse rights with chaos.

The Constitution gives us legal tools to fight government overreach, not permission to turn it into a war zone.

👩🏼‍🏫 𝐌𝐨𝐦 𝐂𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐖𝐑𝐀𝐏-𝐔𝐏:
The 2nd Amendment was about organized community defense, not individuals deciding when violence is okay. “Well regulated militia” meant structured and accountable…not random civilians.

It’s slower. It’s frustrating. But, it’s how a democracy survives.

The current situation with ICE acting as Trump’s personal Gestapo?

Even when federal actions feel scary, wrong, or extreme, the Constitution doesn’t say civilians can take up arms against agents. The tools we’re given are courts, elections, public pressure, oversight, and organizing.

Here’s the simplest way to understand it:

• The 2nd Amendment is about collective safety, not personal revenge.
• It allows gun ownership, but with rules.
• It does not give permission to fight the government.
• Courts, not guns, are how rights are enforced.

Violence isn’t constitutional.

This amendment was never meant to mean: “If I don’t like what the government is doing, I get to grab a weapon.” That’s not safety. That’s chaos. The Founders were trying to prevent power from being abused by keeping things balanced…not by encouraging MORE violence.

A “well regulated militia” wasn’t random guys doing whatever they wanted. Think of it like this: it was the National Guard of the 1700s. Organized. Trained. Accountable. Answering to leadership. “Well regulated” meant rules, structure, and control…not vibes and vibes alone.

The Second Amendment isn’t two separate ideas smashed together. It’s one thought with a reason attached. It’s basically saying: because a well-run, organized group is needed to keep a state safe, people are allowed to have arms. The reason matters.
