If we really want divine blessings for America, a modern adaptation of this ancient Babylonian new year ritual is worth considering.
Text in book reads, "... one of the most remarkable things about the ritual was the role of the king, who was ritually humiliated in the ceremony. He was stripped of his regalia, his ears were pulled, and then while he knelt before the statue of Marduk a priest would slap him - hard. If he shed tears, it was considered a good omen, that all would be well for the coming year, whereas a lack of tears was a bad sign, which certainly gave the priests an incentive to do their worst. The king then had to swear that he had not committed any sins against Marduk, his temple, his city or its inhabitants, thus promising that he would continue to take care of them in the coming year."

The urinal in this restaurant men's room is apparently out of order.
Urinal is completely covered in brown corrugated cardboard, taped together with masking tape and duct tape. The cardboard covering is also sporting an artificial flower, like it's wearing a boutonniere.

The Firelei Báez exhibit opened yesterday at Chicago's Museum of Contemporary Art, and it's amazing!

Saw some of @marc-fischer.bsky.social's work at the Museum of Contemporary Art.
Two sides of an issue of Quaranzine from May 2020. The Yoko Ono exhibit at Chicago's Museum of Contemporary Art is excellent. Creating art helps you see things in a different way. Everyone's invited to participate in some of the works; I contributed a shark to one piece.

Refreshing non-alcoholic lavender and ginger cocktail at lunch.
Drink in a rocks glass. The color is in a gradient from translucent white at the into a lovely shade of purple at the bottom. There's also a large ice cube and lemon peel garnish.
