I think it speaks to the inclusivity of the culture in the sport. Anyone is invited to do HEMA, and everyone is encouraged to be their authentic self. It's super cool. I also love that the sport with the least toxic masculinity (ymmv, obviously) is the one where we're hitting each other with weapons
