I am (mostly) retired from a long career as a gardener. I did a lot of swordplay and swordfighting when I was younger. Now I write Alternate History and think a lot about Politics, Economics, and Culture. Also, I like to crochet things.
After it comes back from the beta reader(s). All I have to do now is consider their advice, make what changes I think are merited, and then publish. Right.

The legislature of the State of Oregon voted a bunch of money for the help of the homeless, I think in 2021. Four years later 90% remains unspent by the bureaucracy. This from Willamette Week, IIRC.
