Today by I showed Amanda Gorman’s “The Hill We Climb”. I asked my students what they took away from it. They replied with words, such as: hope, unity, strength. I almost shed some tears remembering that hope and relief we were all feeling on that day. I miss that feeling.

Oka is enjoying a sunspot on this #Caturday while still trying to avoid the next alarming news from the White House. It’s times like these when self care is of utmost importance.

During teacher inservice today, we had a 3-hour training on sexual misconduct & mandated reporting because it’s required to keep our certification. At the same time, a felon was sworn in as President. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE!!!!

I really wanted to like this one; and I did enjoy some parts. But, the book dragged on. There were entire chapters that could’ve been removed without interfering with the plot. At least, the author actually did reference the title (which comes from the famous soliloquy in Macbeth). ⭐️⭐️/5 #booksky
