Don't forget more and more Linux distros now are coming out that look and feel like windows like zorin, I'm gonna give a few a try as my poor ass can't afford an upgrade atm, might further down the line look to do bare bones mobo bundle instead but will see.

Before thinking it's broken get some fine q-tips preferably pointy ones & some isopropyl alcohol and give both the port the connector on the charging cable a wipe see if this fixes it if it doesn't try a different wire first before thinking it's definitely broken.
