Every time Microsoft Office gets a refresh I have to ask myself, "What fresh hell will I be facing now?" and Copilot never disappoints with the freshness of its hell. This time the little paste-options icon that appears every time you paste something in Word has changed to "Paste with Copilot". 🙄

Entry portal of the newly-built West Gate Tunnel in #Melbourne. The design of these portals is inspired by Aboriginal eel nets. This photo was from last week's "discovery day" that was attended by around 50k people! The tunnel will open to drivers in December.

Why am I getting a traffic-spike alert from Squarespace? Yes, a bunch of folks read my Monotype shake-down blog post, but that was mostly nerds like me on Mastodon and Bluesky. Oh. Someone posted it on Hacker News and it's story #19 on the front page. That would explain it!

When faced with an awkward outdoor seating situation, why not custom-build your tables to accommodate the footpath's slope? :) #melbourne
