That does so much to convey the mood, even if no character has a portrait. And the MUSIC! If the story wasn't giving me chills by itself, the music took care of that. Highly recommend giving this game a shot.

I also have to compliment how the game expands the story through flashbacks, letters, and memoirs. Everything is accompanied by some gorgeous and gruesome sprite-work or somewhat abstract art.🧵

I couldn't even defeat the penultimate boss without going back to Easy Mode. But the fact that the has an Easy Mode is great for anybody who just wants to enjoy the story.

You can play the game on normal mode if you want a challenge. Every creature and boss encounter are finely-tuned to require the most out of your skills.

I'll decide whether to finish it now or pick it up when I'm around games that are near its length. Either way, I'm excited. The style is VERY different from anything that I've played and I can just FEEL that the prologue story leaves a ton of unanswered questions. 🎃

Oh wow, that's a much longer commitment than I expected! Not a complaint. I was just playing my games from shortest-to-longest. I had no idea the final version has so much more content. The one on the website is just the First Slice and Second Helping.

Yep! It's about an hour long to play through the game, but that's also broken up between three perspective characters, so the time goes by quickly.

I bet! I spent a decent part of the experience going "can they really talk about this and show this? really? really?!" I think that worked well with the surreal experience.

TBH, I was kinda just "this is fine" about the VN... then I saw it change during the next loop! That's what really got me. 😁

At first, I wasn't paying much attention. Something about the mounting horror caught my attention and I was transfixed. What REALLY caught me was playing the game from new perspectives. I was frustrated that I couldn't fully unravel the mystery by the end, but I liked the note it ended on.

This is a wonderfully introspective game about peoples' flaws and the need to change and let go. I clocked in just shy of 40 minutes on my playthrough and I was glued to the screen for every second of it.

I worried that Fishy would be annoying, but she was as insightful as she was adorable!😊
