One of those landed in the field behind my parents' house a few months back (for a neighbour friend of theirs, as it turned out). Once saw it land in front of me on the M4 as well. Interesting to see, but not one that's nice to see about since the reason it's there isn't normally very nice...

Yeah. That porch project? Nightmare. Can't be signed off because we forgot to file some paperwork before it started that we had no idea about. So now we've got the lender threatening some really scary stuff unless we basically start again.

So if you go off-script (which we do, because at the time we got this my kids had no idea what half the cards meant), then you'll never get a correct answer out if it.

It completely changes the game. The game isn't now to guess what the picture is, it's to guess whether the AI will guess what it is.

Which it doesn't, because *if* you can get the thing to work, then it only has a fixed set of answers it picks from.

That was fun for about 10 minutes. It's now in a cupboard somewhere and hasn't seen the light of day since.

Fun fact: I got given this one year.

It's as terrible as it sounds. You draw stuff and scan it into a website which doesn't work and it guesses what you drew and you win or lose or something depending on how close it got. We gave up on it and just drew dodgy stuff instead to get it to guess that.

Indeed. Really did hesitate before booking with BA Euroflyer and their aging aircraft after reading of frequent maintenance issues, guess I wasn’t surprised. The plane we got instead was bad too, not sure I’ll be flying them again 😬

We get chinooks regularly over here (lots of RAF stations nearby, think they like doing training exercises over these parts). Those were mostly what I was referring to because they are kind of noisy 😣

Yeah, I can't describe the sound but it really did sound (and feel) like something booming overhead. Used to hear it multiple times a day especially when Heathrow was on 09s. I moved away from there to the west in 1996 and while I could still hear it afterwards, it wasn't quite the same.

I wish phone cameras had been a thing back then. I have a clear memory of being in the garden once and looking up and seeing it in a lovely blue sky. Would have made a nice picture!

(I had forgotten it was the anniversary of flight 4590, by the way, this wasn't connected in any way! 😬)
