The ASI Summit is excited to welcome its next speaker, Albert Cohen. Cohen is the Director of Actuarial Science as well as the Graduate Certificate in Sports Analytics at Michigan State University.

Pickleball Moneyball (2024) and the Handbook of Statistical and Analyses in Sports (2017). He was awarded the 'Significant Contributor to Statistics in Sports' prize at Joint Statistical Meetings (2015), and was elected Fellow of the American Statistical Association (2019).

Swartz received a PhD and MSc from the University of Toronto and BMath from the University of Waterloo. His research interests are in Bayesian statistics and sports analytics. He has authored over 120 research papers, and has published five books including Insights from Sports Analytics (2025)...
