Witness the Equinox Illumination on March 20th! About one hour after sunrise, this quartzite stone in the Watch House Chamber is illuminated by the shadow of the chamber's doorway. Illuminations were used to mark astronomical events like the equinox by many ancient cultures throughout history.

Black History Month is the perfect time to announce the completion of our American History Exhibit. It is dedicated to the Pattee Family, who were abolitionists that lived here and operated a station on the Underground Railroad in the 1800s, and the people they aided on their journey to freedom.

The museum has returned to our regular hours starting today! We are open from 90:00 am to 5:00 pm every day, with the last admission at 4:00 pm. Stop in and explore New Hampshire's ancient history!
