Day 4 of the 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕/𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗙𝗹𝘂𝘅 summer school focused on migration, displacement and memory. Students presented their final projects, attended a screening of the film ”Mein Leben - Mein Film“ and discussed war experiences and cultural resistance.

Day 3 delved into the border reconfigurations, from media narratives of the Russo-Ukrainian war to cultural memory in Donbas. Participants explored shifting borders through powerful lectures, project work, and a city rally in Saarbrücken.

Our summer school started with a focus on border crossings and cultural encounters across North America and Europe. The students explored border dynamics in the Greater Region and the U.S., then dove deep into North American border narratives.
