Everything you say about Vance is correct, but the other factor is that Vance lacks an adoring fan base. MAGAs approve of Vance as a Trump lackey, but don't put him on a pedestal as they do Trump. MAGAs have no hesitation to criticize him when they disagree with him - very different from Trump
