Bluesky is as close to social media as I get. I’ve been watching a lot of SciShow/nature on YouTube, because I really appreciate 20ish minutes of not witnessing human rights abuses.

This is not a commitment to abolishing ICE. This is a claim that Trump’s ICE is the problem, not that ICE is the problem.

I hate this. But there is some silver lining: when New York residents are picked up by ICE, they are frequently sent far way, to jurisdictions where the law is even worse. They lose access to their families, and often to their lawyers as well. Being detained closer to home can be preferable.

For a moment, I didn’t realize
it was going to light up, and I thought, OMG, they left it black.
