Didn’t expect to be back online two weeks postpartum (excuse the snoring baby sounds), but I need to respond to Rick Scott’s insane claim that DHS or ICE are “underfunded.” Don’t let his no vote today pacify you. He voted no because he doesn’t think ICE has enough.

I’m running for Congress because District 2 deserves a fighter. Someone who answers to the people, not corporate donors or PACs. Someone who will show up, speak out, and refuse to sell us out or bend to the will of Republicans.

🚨 FLORIDIANS: Congress is voting THIS WEEK on expanding DHS funding. Use your voice! Call our U.S. Senators today and demand a NO vote on any expansion of DHS funding, and a repeal of the multi-year $75 billion funding for ICE.

I do not lightly encourage folks watch the recording of a murder. But, the video from today's tragedy could not be more obvious and important to see now that Kristi Noem has announced they'll investigate themselves.

Honored to be featured in @devex.com this week, in an article highlighting former aid workers stepping up to run for office. The irony is that dismantling this work didn’t silence us. It mobilized a generation of professionals who know how to lead in moments of crisis.

Today, on MLK Jr. Day, I reflected on the many gifts Dr. King left us. One that feels particularly important right now is his demonstration of grit and strength in the face of adversity and persecution.

Honored to earn the endorsement of The Alliance for American Leadership, a bipartisan group dedicated to effective, accountable global development.

This week, I welcomed my first child into the world. We are healthy, grateful, and full of joy!

Thank you, Neal Dunn, for finally recognizing that another run for this seat would be a disservice to our commuity. After five terms of absentee leadership, we finally have an open seat and a real chance to move forward.
January 13, 2026 at 8:24 PM
Call your representative and tell them you look forward to voting them out for condoning all of ICE's affronts to our constitution and common decency. And then hug your neighbor, your family, your friends. Stay safe.

January 6th was an attack on democracy. A Congress willing to demand accountability is how we protect it.

New year, new Congress, no patience for nonsense!

2026 mood board: Dems sweeping the midterms. Healthcare for all. Costs coming down on rent, groceries, and everyday essentials, and a little thing called accountability for government incompetence and inaction. In 2026, we are DONE settling!

I’ve always been drawn to public service, to the idea that showing up for your community and country matters. But I never imagined, never in a thousand years, that it would lead me here, running for Congressional office to represent Florida.

He married me AND my opinions about government incompetence 😌

Every interview and every stop on the trail reminds me why I’m running.

The last few months have been a whirlwind of meeting folks across Florida’s 2nd District, listening to their concerns, and building a campaign rooted in service, and we’re just getting started.

Do better, Neal Dunn.

Thankful for an afternoon filled with community, purpose, and a shared commitment to building a stronger North Florida. 🎄✨ Thank you to the Democratic Club of North Florida for the warm welcome. Grateful for all of the great conversations and perspectives, and all of the holiday spirit.

I sat down w/ Gary Yordon on The Usual Suspects to discuss the District 2 congressional race, the challenges facing our neighbors & the opportunities that can be created with the right leadership in place. Watch the interview & join the conversation this morning at 11:30 on @wctv.tv!

Grateful to the Bay County Democrats, the Democratic Women’s Club of Bay County, and the Young Democrats of Bay County for the warm welcome at their 2025 Potluck. Thank you for the conversation, the community, and the chance to share my vision as a candidate for Congress.

Talk about a #throwbackthursday!

To my best friend since high school, my partner in life (and soon in parenthood), and my BIGGEST supporter through this wild ride of running for Congress in the district we call home, thank you.

Grateful to the Leon County Democratic Environmental Caucus for hosting this debate last week where we could go beyond buzzwords and hypotheticals and get into the real, daily impact these issues have on our communities. Talking about affordability isn’t optional, it’s urgent.
December 9, 2025 at 5:33 PM
Tomorrow, I will be participating in the Democratic Primary Debate, hosted by the Leon Dems Environmental Caucus & co-hosted by Progressive Victory FSU & Leon County Democratic Progressive Caucus. Join me at the debate and see the kind of leadership our district has been missing!

Felt extra grateful this Thanksgiving. For family, for the little one on the way, and for every person in North Florida who believes we deserve a future worth celebrating. In a political climate that feels heavy, I’m thankful for the hope and determination this community shows every day.
December 1, 2025 at 6:31 PM
I’m running for Congress in Florida’s 2nd District because we deserve a leader who will show up & fight for us!

(1/4) What an honor it was to attend @NAACPTLH’s banquet last night, “It’s Time to Show Up!”

My most heartfelt congratulations to all of the awardees, especially Dr. AJ Brickler for his service delivering over 19,000 babies in Tallahassee.
