Still my favorite bumper sticker

Post grad programmer friend bought a $100 of it in 2011. He cashed out when it was worth around a mil. He’s in a better mental place than I would be not holding onto until now.

Me traveling back in time to appear behind my younger self chuckling at the “BUY GOLD!!!!!!”commercials from the early 2000s: Stop laughing and start buying.

Apropos of nothing, the new Ken Burns American Revolution documentary is really good.

Why does brain damage shift ideology to the right?...oh...huh...a lot of things make more sense now.

My favorite t-shirt right now...and I hate that it exists.

And it would be higher if the billionaires that own the major television and social media networks weren't working so hard to provide cover.

Whenever he says "A lot of people don't know" he means someone just told him about it and he assumes because he didn't know that no one did.

On top of everything else, my infosec senses are twitching at the (assumedly non-governmental) iPhone casually lying on a table next to the resolute desk.

To have any hope, you have to dismantle sources of bias/bigotry reinforcement from television, podcast, social media, etc. Hate needs fuel, it has to be fed. And until we cut off the food supply it will keep growing.

Grievance all the way down. Billionaires found a way to keep more money, pay fewer taxes, extending the have and have not gap. They also bought up the media to keep us at each other's throats. Racism is cultivated. It starts early at home and then conservative media reinforces it as they grow.

Just for those confused by statistics. If you go from 1 of something to 10 of something that's 1000% increase...and in both cases that could be 1 in 100,000 encounters or 1 in 1,000,000, etc. Citing a percentage instead of actual numbers is meant to intentionally mislead.

And that 57% would be higher without the media acting like the shooter's PR.

This is more like a run on the bank before everyone finds out the money's gone.

Loosening your grip on someone you were choking out is not "saving" them.

I'm just envious of their choices. Three compact, affordable, desirable EVs in that video we don't get.
January 10, 2026 at 2:02 AM
Maybe this will mean I'll run into fewer of them plugged into hotel chargers when I need to charge my full EV.
