My mom had named Judy and my Uncle Jean-Pierre, my legal guardians should something had happened to her. Judy even took in my son for a few months one summer so he could have a taste of the “Judy experience” like I did when I was a kid. It’s with humor and love that I will remember my Aunt Judy. ♥️

She introduced me to many life lessons, like take baths vs showers (still do) and don’t sleep wearing underwear. 😄 She is part of my second earliest memory — seeing her through my crib slats when she came to the States to meet me. She came back soon after forest’s edge studios and I got married.

Judy took me to the early-morning markets and showed me how to shop for fresh produce, and she taught me my cooking basics. The first time I ever fainted was with her; I was adjusting to the altitude in the Alps, where I’d gone to spend the summer with her. She had such a quirky sense of humor.
