Polarization doesn’t just divide opinions — it fractures communities, erodes trust, and weighs heavily on our mental health.

In a time of growing division and misinformation, how do we rebuild connection and belonging?

How can we do it? Life being “straight, narrow and pristine” is the biggest illusion of them all. Join us as we explore the messy, beautiful, and often chaotic reality of a nonlinear life.

Ever tell yourself that life will finally settle down after this next hurdle? For a brief moment, it seems to—and then life smacks you with the unexpected. Job loss, a new love, divorce papers, your teenager’s puberty, a health scare, a new life. Good or bad, it’s always change. /1

This week, I was reminded that I am exactly where I am meant to be. There are times in our lives when we may seek out opportunities, changes in plans, employment, or even a new career. Not everything is FOR YOU. Not everything is MEANT for you. Not every space DESERVES you.

The upper 1% of society asking if “we” have lost our moral compass. Did you ask the same when Donald Trump was elected as President? Did you ask the same as many Gaza children are slaughtered? Don’t ask about “our “ moral compass when yours is spinning out of control.

Nurses are saying “ no” to the bullshit terms and conditions. Lack of resources, staffing, poor mental health, abuse on the job, low pay and no one listening to us.There is a retention tool kit BTW, but hey— it doesn’t make them money.

In my almost 15 years of being a nurse, this was unheard of. When will people of Ontario realize that Doug Ford is not serious about healthcare. And the gaslighting by Mr Dale in this piece— investigative journalism knows what they are doing!! And who’s getting the worst outcomes 😔😡

After George Floyd’s murder, many healthcare orgs pledged solidarity in speaking out on racism & injustice. However, many of the pledges were examples of “performative benevolence”. Today I will be speaking at The Canadian Nurses Association’s annual National Anti-Racism Summit on this topic.

So this is a first. “Slavery and The Trans Atlantic Slavery is all fiction”. Do not let anyone trick you into believing in Canadian exceptionalism or that “racism isn’t as bad here”. This was stated under a post for the City of Toronto discussing Black History.

Where are my #nurses at? Look at this insanity. Over 600 job vacancies and out of 121 new grads only 3 got a job? There is no shortage of nurses wanting work, just a shortage of employers hiring them. #nursingshortage #nursing
