The United States of America just doesn't make sense anymore, in it's current make up. Too many states/regions simply hate each other too much to effectively co-exist. It should really be 4 different countries.

I did have the sound on. Admittedly, due to the time difference, it was already Boxing Day morning here in Melbourne, my missus was still in bed, and the cricket hadn't started yet.

He turns to me, and in a shrill voice, screams at me, "Shut the fuck up, Curly Sue!"

I don't know why, but I still remember that moment from time to time and can't help laughing to myself.

So, I was playing in goal for my football club's Masters team when an opposition player started whingeing to the ref for a corner kick, when it was quite obviously a goal kick. I suggested to the fella that he might need his eyes checking, based on his ridiculous claims.

During the COVID lockdowns in Melbourne, I didn't get a haircut, and kept growing it out afterwards. In 2021, after about 18 months of growth, my hair was about shoulder length, and very curly. See my profile pic for reference.

I've quite enjoyed it, personally. Just discussing with the missus if we're going to get stuck into the final instalments tonight or wait a couple of days.

It was a very good performance right up until Spurs scored. The sheer scale of the drop off in intelligence and composure for those last 10 minutes, plus added time, was deeply concerning.

Swansea supporters were singing it towards Wrexham the other day.

Swansea supporters were singing it towards Wrexham the other day, too.

Do me a favour. Find Ahmed al-Ahmed's fruit shop and buy some mangoes on my behalf!

All depends on AJ's form between his return from injury through to the end of the club season. Spots in midfield are super competitive in JM's 4-4-2. You have to assume that Eustaquio is going to start and Kone's form in Serie A right now is something else. What a goal he scored against Milan today!

Ocampo and Nelson would play like wing-backs, providing width. Nelson would have to really commit to the defensive side of the ball, though.

Question with any formation will be what to do when one of the key players are out of the team. Can Badwal and Priso cover the midfield 2 adequately, etc.

This would be good, as long as Berhalter and White are willing to ext.I don't think the owners would be happy with losing both for free after the season.

A 3-4-2-1 could also work. Something like:

Takaoka

Blackmon Veselinovic Laborda

Ocampo Berhalter Cubas Nelson

Mueller Gauld

White

Sorensen's biggest challenge in 2026 is finding a way for Mueller, Gauld, and White to play in the same XI consistently. It might mean selling the wingers, while the offers are good, and focusing on flying full-backs for width. Interesting times, indeed.

If we were to suspend the realities of economics and MLS' place in the overall world football hierarchy, I'd love to see Berhalter, Ahmed, Laborda, White, Takaoka, Ocampo, Sabbi, and Cubas all come back for at least one more year.

It's 3rd (by ranking position) or 4th (by total ranking points), according to the FIFA rankings.

Apologies for the profanity. The '11 SCF is still a sore subject for me.
December 1, 2025 at 5:02 AM
Every year, I laugh at fans and media that suggest I should support the last remaining Canadian-based team in the Stanley Cup playoffs out of national obligation. I laugh because I remember how most of those same people openly cheered for the Bruins in the '11 SCF. Fuck them all, I say. Go 'Caps!

MLS should be issuing a blanket apology to every Canadian like MLB did after that whole upside down flag thing in the early-'90s.

I'll have to get one of my local agents to get me some, then.

Is it a limited edition, or something I might be able to grab on my next visit home?

Is every can the same, or do different cans have different players?

Tells you all you need to know about Steve Cherundolo, both as a man and as a football coach. No class, whatsoever.
