I found a place that would send me Croatian snacks and made an order. This should last me several months, I'm so excited for all these little treats. I am also excited about sharing some of them in Christmas gifts.

Here's a little throwback today.

This is very early in our relationship. We had moved in as roommates after leaving very unhealthy marriages. We did not remain in our own rooms long.

We've barely left each other's sides since. We've traveled the world. We are so lucky to have found each other.

Cirrus is our resident extrovert. He makes friends wherever we go. A few weeks ago we drove to a new dog park and Cirrus made friends with all the dogs. Magnus is pickier on who he's friends with, but usually any dog over 10 is considered a friend.

Last week we walked across the Hudson & visited with old friends. This week we're back at home & glad to be back in our own bed.

Winter feels like it's here in full swing & our southern selves are steeling ourselves to the challenge, w/the help of wool (blankets, hats, clothes) & a SAD lamp. 🤞🏻

We've had a good visit to the Hudson Valley. We're excited to head home to our own bed and our familiar local park.

In front of us is a brick pathway curving through grass muted with fallen leaves. To each side are dark green bushes, unchanging with the season. A short distance away the path ends, turning left (unseen also turning right). At the turn to the left is a Japanese Pagoda sculpture just peaking over the green bushes. The sky is full of colors from the trees that fill the entire top of the photo. Directly above the Pagoda is a giant bright yellow ginko tree (80'), one of Roger Williams Parks Notable Trees. To the right are multiple maple trees (sugar and Japanese) that vary in size (less than 10' to giant with the tops out of frame) and color (unnaturally bright red, burgundy, to a regular red).

@dcarter.dev and I drove to the Hudson Valley to meet up with Jason and Meagan, Daniel's bestie since middle school. We're having a great (cold) visit and are so thankful they drove up from Kentucky and invited us to meet up.

Autumn allergies, time change, and the curse of living in interesting times are very difficult for my ME/CF self. We've also been considering several stressful (but positive) changes.

I'm finding & sharing joy where I can. Right now it's in my new camera and NE fall colors.

A view in Roger Williams Park in Providence Rhode Island. You're looking down a path that goes along the waters edge of Roosevelt Lake. The ground is covered in fresh crispy autumn leaves. To each side are large trees with their dark orange and burgundy leaves preparing to float down with their fallen comrades. The focus of the photo is across the water. The Bandstand, a structure with 12 Corinthian columns support a 30-foot diameter dome roof. Rebuilt in 1915 it's been the parks center for music since 1901. Breaking up it's reflection in the water is a large floating fountain in the middle of the lake. It gives the reflection interest between the reflection of autumn colors and the white of the Bandstand.
