truly excellent sack avoidance on top of a large chunk of plays where he made the right read and decision.

Couple of times he turned down an open player, but his scrambling and checkdowns made sense seeing how the backend was playing out.

Spurs know they can take their time with Bryant, and are willing to do so. Off-court maturity/makeup is off the charts. Pacers and Thunder showed you never can have too many athletes who can defend and make 3s.

In the meantime, expect them to grab a backup center or two.
