Ofwat paid nearly £26m to consultancies between 2016 and 2024. Even worse, they hired many of the same firms employed by the polluting water companies they are supposed to be holding to account.

How much more evidence do we need for the Government to recognise Ofwat is entirely unfit for purpose?
