I'm sharing this for any Americans, and especially Irish Americans. As the racist rapist McGregor couldn't get a nomination to run for President of Ireland, this woman became the hope of the Christofascist Trumpian far-right but also failed to get nominated. She was polling at 5%.

I agree, though I have to confess that I would enjoy watching them struggling to pretend to be reasonable before getting their ass handed to them by the electorate in so comprehensive a manner that they will be longer be able to claim to be "the silenced majority"

The reason I'm concerned about Maria Steen being on the ballot isn't that she will win (she won't).

My worry is that if she is nominated, it will mean a month of national airtime for a hate campaign against vulnerable groups, carried by a media too scared of being sued to call it what it is

Fair point. I didn't make this meme. I guess ableism gets forgotten about as it is differently abled people are not usually a target of the far-right at present but history teaches us that it's only a matter of time
