We present a comparative evaluation of two state-of-the-art language models, DeepSeek-R1 and OpenAI-GPT, focusing on their generative performance in a specialized domain: knock-knock joke creation. While traditional benchmarks evaluate language models on metrics such as perplexity or BLEU scores

In 2025, analytics will no longer be an isolated function. It will be the operating system of the modern org, powering decisions, automating processes, predicting the future. Treat analytics as a product asset. Scalable, modular, actionable - not a passive reporting tool

✅ Use Python/SQL for transformations and app logic.

✅ Skip boilerplate setup for ingestion and deployment.

✅ Focus on shipping your app, not stitching tools together.

The best systems make hard things simple. Data lakes started as a great idea: scalable storage for diverse datasets. but as they grew, they got messy: fragmented files, clunky metadata, etc. S3 Tables/Metadata fix this by baking management and discovery into the storage layer

Data engineering isn't just software engineering with data. LLM copilots sound cool, but where's the benchmark for schema drift, broken pipelines, and data chaos? 🤨

Ever inherited a Franken-stack of analytics? The real cost isn’t just the tools—it’s the time, engineering capacity, and opportunity costs they drain. open.substack.com/pub/structur...
