I think that’s a really insightful theory. I have thought more than once that there is something similar about Hegseth and Kavanaugh. (I think it’s the sneering and that they both seem caught in a moment in time: when they were hazing new recruits into their ivy league fraternities.) 🤢

This would be an interesting anecdotal study. The high school valedictorian my year turned out pretty good.

Same - our premium for January coverage ($1900/month, up from $450 in 2025 - for a shitty high deductible bronze plan) is due Dec 15. Could maybe manage one month of that if subsidies are coming back, but no way we can do it ongoing. I haven’t figured out how to handle it yet.

Most of these jerkoffs (D&R alike) are so out of touch - do they have any sense of the huge, life-altering decisions those of us getting pushed off the ACA cliff have to make? Decisions that can’t be made in one day or easily reversed once made. Their Dec31 deadline is too late. Our deadline is now.
