The workers have proposed a ton of creative solutions, like offering seniors check-ins for a fee, or accessible banking (post offices in other countries do these things).

There’s more to the institution than just delivering mail. And yeah, I’ve had a PO Box since 1985. I still support the strike.

It frustrates me to no end that AI hasn’t solved this yet. At least for graphics with text, which I post on my work account a lot.

If my phone can automatically read/select/copy type in the photos app, why can’t we connect the dots to screen readers?

The domestication of kelp for biofuels has great potential. Because kelp grows so fast, has so much sugar, it can be high yield for thermochemical liquefaction to biofuel.

Unlike terrestrial plant use, it doesn't displace food production, require fertilizer or fresh water.
