I was surprised by this election map from 1960 in my son's American History class. Most of the Southern states and Texas voted for Kennedy, and California voted for Nixon (although he was from California).

ICYMI: President Donald Trump pitched the idea of eliminating the federal income tax entirely to instead tariff and tax foreign nations "to enrich our citizens."
Like with collecting income tax there has to be income to collect it on, collecting tariffs depends on other countries buying our stuff.

I am wondering where Trump plans to find these people of superior intelligence to work these government jobs when he is actively trying to dumb down the American public. The intersection of people with superior intelligence who will blindly support his administration has got to be quite small.
