Trump didn't win 50% of the popular vote.

The GOP has slim margins in both the House and Senate.

His approval ratings are tanking.

He does not have a mandate.

Do not let him gaslight you into believing he is all powerful.

He's not.

My daughter’s job search is on hold because of this. She’s a molecular biologist who worked hard for a grant to start a new research lab. Now she isn’t sure she’ll be employed after her current grant runs out.

Braid is a little wiggly this week. Aaron’s recipe again, but 1/2 bread flour. I really like making the dough the night before… so much easier! But I should have let it come to room temp before the 2nd rise. #challah #food

I am the great-grandson of a man who led his family out of the shtetl to a strange land in search of a better life. I am the grandson of the three-year-old boy on that journey. As you know, my name is Marc, but my Hebrew name is Elhanan—after the warrior in David’s army who slew a powerful giant.

Trying again after a couple of weeks of store-bought, which I didn’t think much of. Aaron’s recipe again, but regular flour instead of bread flour. We’ll see how it tastes!

Challah #5. Aaron’s recipe again, but only half bread flour, and honey instead of sugar.

This was easier to work with than the one that was all bread flour.

Challah #4. My friend Aaron’s recipe, but with less sugar and half the oil.

The dough was nice to work with, but it was a bit unwieldy to braid.

Hopefully it will taste good!
