I am going to pet therapy today. Tegan the mutt reminds me that it is her favorite thing to do. I am not going without her.
Zoe the Corgi is jealous only because she knows treats will be given, but not as many will be given to her.

Male gadwall paddling in a fast-moving stream. He's not as flashy as a lot of ducks, but I love the delicate patterns of his feathers.
Also notice the comb on his bill for straining food out of the water.

I found this Black-crowned night heron perched on the side of a trail fifteen years ago. It was totally unconcerned that I was taking its picture. My thanks to this bird for encouraging me to continue with nature photography.🦜

I heard a Scrub Jay squawking in a tree, but had a very hard time getting a clear shot of it. I shot a bunch of pics essentially blind. Most were out of focus, but this one came out well.

Chestnut-backed chickadee, common in California where I'm visiting, but a lifer for me.
