That’s awful. We keep ours in a tote in my in laws garage and use them again. After hunting the kids sit around removing all the candy to see their haul and dumping the empty eggs back in the tote.

I’m the same as you. I also tend to stick with ‘my usual’ at restaurants even if something else sounds amazing, just in case. My 5 yo gets such anxiety over trying new foods that she will meltdown. New foods have to be introduced along with safe foods and without pressure. Usually deconstructed too.
