You can choose to reject medical science if you want to. If you don't understand the science, and choose to forgo listening to people who have spent their lives studying and researching to make our world safer, there is nothing I could say to change your mind.

Many harms are preventable. I assume risks when I drive a car, but they're mitigated by reasonable restrictions on what you can and cannot do as a driver, and by requirements that you must fulfill to be allowed to drive. I would take that right away from you if you recklessly endangered others.

All public goods work that way.
That's why your response is not making sense. Social security is not different from Medicare, or schools, or roads in that regard.

I'm actually more confused now. How does this relate to the original post?

Not what I said. Your first reply seemed to say that you think socialism is about handouts. If I misunderstood you, that's my bad.

Socialism is not a handout. You pay in to the system and you benefit from public goods. America practices a limited form of socialism and most people agree that roads, schools, and Medicare are good for everybody and worth paying for.

I do not wish you violence and nothing that I said could reasonably be misconstrued that way.

If your argument is that laws themselves are violence against you, so you are willing to expose people to diseases that may kill them, your position is at best ridiculous and at worst deeply harmful.

Enjoy your strawman, dude.

I have no idea what your first point means.

I accept reasonsble limitations to my freedom to live in a society that promotes health, safety, justice, and order. If you want to live without laws or regulations, you don't want to live in a civilized society.

Yes, taxes are paid to fund public goods.

If you don't want the public goods, don't accept them. Refuse to work any job that takes taxes out of your pay. I hear homesteading is getting more popular these days.

When what you do with your body impacts the health and safety of other people's bodies, you do not have the freedom to do as you please in public.

If you drive on a public road, you accept safety regulations. If you want to use public goods and spaces, you should not spread preventable diseases.
