This seems to me to be the biggest pain in the bottom since purl three together. And by that I mean I dropped almost as many stitches trying to join sleeves as I had left on the needles.

Yes. That’s about three times more than normal. It’s a ruffle. But still a lot of stitches with a very slippery yarn and ultra smooth needles.

The new “tube of silicone used to hold stitches like waste yarn” is absolutely making this easier as it make only 6 ends. Not 8. Seamless.
