At one point I was just really impatient to get it done, and I don't remember what part of the dresser we were working on, but I said "good enough for who it's for." And my dad looked at me and said "Perfect isn't good enough for who it's for."

He also once punched a bull in the face.

I just thought of this for some reason. My dad is a wood worker, among other things. My sister and I grew up helping him with various projects in his shop. His go-to phrase was "good enough for who it's for"; like saying "close enough". When I was 12 I designed a dresser for us to build together. 🧵
