12ish years ago. College. Went to a pumpkin patch and my friends and I proceeded to try to pose like autumnal catalogue models. Like you do.

Spent this afternoon talking to some Girl Scouts about making comics! Met so many talented artists, voracious readers, and curious minds at their first ever mini Comic Con event. It was such an honor to be part of the fun! 💖🤘

A cocktail themed after The Craft, called "I Drink of My Sisters" - it is in a pitcher with ice, and contains vodka, pomegranate juice, raspberry sparkling water, chambord, and cranberry juice. And no witch blood. Cupcakes decorated to look like noodles and worms, topped with gummy worms and Pocky for chopsticks- inspired by the takeout scene in The Lost Boys. The Lost Boys blu-ray menu screen on a large private theater projector. It depicts the title and the silhouettes of the vampires hanging off the train bridge. The opening credits of The Craft, mentioning co-producer Lisa Tornell. It depicts Robin Tunney's character Sarah getting into a yellow taxi cab at LAX in the rain.

Sorry I couldn't make it to NYCC this year, but I stopped by the Pink Pony Club this weekend to make up for it!

I recently had the privilege of being part of @collectsideshow.bsky.social's Jumping the Shark Custom Art Show -- this was my submission, The Pool Shark! Donations were made to the Shark Allies charity in honor of each piece in the show. It is currently on display at The Oaks Mall in Thousand Oaks.
"The Pool Shark" - a mixed media art sculpture built around a nearly 2ft long blank resin shark figure. Artist Amy Chase decorated the support base to have green felt like a pool table, as well as brown trim like table wood. The shark is black with the 8-ball number on its flank, with green felt in its mouth while it crushes a pool cue between its teeth. A wood pool rack is positioned around its tail, and clusters of bubble-like pool balls (custom painted, made of Christmas ornaments) are attached to look like they're floating around it. The backdrop of the photo studio has nautical elements like netting and sea glass, and the sculpture is at a 3/4 turn. I asked my favorite high school English teacher to read Abuzz recently and this is what she had to say! Yes, hearing her say she's proud of me after all these years hits reeeeal good.

Yesterday, the frog distribution system reached my father in the most unconventional manner. Yes, that is an iced coffee. Not an af-frog-ato.

Amid everything in the world right now, it's hard to want to promote stuff, but I'd like to remind folks as Pride month is in its later days - ABUZZ is coming out this fall from Maverick, packed with messy, queer joy bundled up in a retelling of one of the Bard's best romantic comedies (Much Ado).
