Our situations are surely different, but I get what you're saying. When I expect the worst and it doesn't happen, there's a feeling of relief. Maybe that's why I do it? I don't know. It doesn't make sense.

Someone once told me not to grieve, regret, fear or worry abt something before its time. If you get stressed/miserable before a bad thing (that may not even occur) happens, how can you deal with it when it does? It's the 'what ifs' that hurt & mess with you. Hard to avoid them but worth trying.

There's nothing wrong w/ you. Many aren't comfortable in their own company as hard as they try; that you can do it is a feat & a reason to like yourself. My dad often used the cliché "everything in its time." The older I get, the more I realize how true it is. Truly, there's nothing wrong with you.

This is my 1st experience with fandom. Fun & weird at the same time. Early on I was scolded for something I said, so I try not to say too much. I know the show matters a lot to many people, but it's not that hard to ignore things you don't agree with about a TV series. It's not life or death stuff.

You're likely to enjoy it. Museums are one of my favorite places to go alone. If you want to just stand & look at one piece the whole time, nobody cares.
