I’ve been disillusioned on this for a really long time tbh. I started my PhD in 2010, finished in 2015. Everyone who graduated from the program in 2010 had a TT job offer. Only one person in my graduating cohort got one.

I’ve been really tempted by the yarn club but I spin and needle felt much more than I knit these days so The roving club is really thrilling. Thanks for giving me something to look forward to ❤️

Yes! And from my brief time teaching/TAing, there were so many students who did not ask for accommodations but who definitely needed them, so the “no accommodations” pool was a mix of students. The avg grade in that group was def lower than it would have been if they had gotten the help they needed

I’m generally a big fan of the Hobonichi Techo planners since I use fountain pens, but they do have little quotes at the bottom. I’ve also liked the leuchtturm1917 weekly planners a lot.

Oof, I feel this. I lost a lot of weight in the last year due primarily to really bad depression and anxiety tanking my appetite, and the response to “my brain decided to try to kill me” has largely been “you look great keep it up”
